Private readings, journals, and chart inputs do not become social posts automatically. Publishing always requires a separate, deliberate action.

1. Scope and plain-language promise

This policy covers PickACard.TV’s website, installable web app, member profiles, community, Reading Vault, astrology tools, Academy, events, messaging, and creator marketplace catalog.

It describes the product as it operates in this release. It does not claim a privacy certification or replace rights that may apply under local law.

2. Information the service handles

The chart calculator receives the date, time, offset, latitude, and longitude entered for a calculation. The current chart endpoint returns the calculation without intentionally writing those inputs to the member database. A chart becomes social only if the member separately creates a post.

Account and security data: email address, one-time sign-in challenge records, failed-code attempts, session state, and timestamps.
Profile data you provide: display name, handle, biography, pronouns, profile images, location label, languages, interests, traditions, specialties, links, availability, and the visibility selected for each field.
Member activity: posts, comments, reactions, bookmarks, follows, blocks, reports, notifications, community memberships, direct messages, and moderation history tied to that activity.
Private feature data: saved readings and journals, collected cards, game progress, Academy progress, credentials, consent choices, submissions, and seller-catalog records.
Media you upload for a profile or listing, including its storage key, type, size, and upload date.
Basic technical requests ordinarily needed to operate and secure a web service, such as request time, browser/network information, and server error or access logs.

3. How information is used

Authenticate members, protect accounts, enforce blocks and visibility, and route member-only pages.
Provide readings, saved progress, profiles, conversations, submissions, Academy credentials, event discovery, and seller-catalog tools.
Moderate reports, investigate coercion, impersonation, scams, dangerous claims, privacy violations, and rights complaints, and keep an operational audit trail.
Maintain, debug, secure, and improve the app without ranking people by spiritual accuracy.

4. What is public and what stays private

Public profiles and profile fields appear only under the visibility choices the member saves. Public or followers-only posts are visible to the intended audience. Private posts, bookmarks, blocks, direct messages, saved readings, journal text, and raw account email are not public profile fields.

Authorized operators can access operational and reported material needed for security, moderation, support, and legal obligations. PickACard.TV does not provide a general admin feed for browsing private journals. Content that a member reports may be reviewed by the moderation team.

6. Cookies, device storage, and the PWA

The current app uses essential, HTTP-only cookies for the email-code challenge and signed-in session. The app also uses browser storage for choices such as deck, game progress, music track and volume, dock state, and an unfinished share draft.

The service worker caches public app-shell files for offline use. Personalized routes such as profile, messages, notifications, sign-in, and APIs are excluded from that offline cache. Installing the PWA does not grant additional account access.

7. Member choices, security, and changes

No internet service can promise absolute security. PickACard.TV uses access checks, signed sessions, one-time challenges, same-origin mutation checks, media validation, rate limits, and human review, and will update these controls as the product changes.

Use Profile & Privacy to change field visibility, make a profile public or private, export account data, block members, and request account deletion.
Sign out to remove the current session cookie. Browser settings can clear local storage and installed-app caches.
Use in-product reporting for content, profiles, impersonation, privacy, scams, copyright, or dangerous claims.
